- Sébastien Bordes has two posts this week. Firstly, he talks about revisiting the JavaFX builders API (which is deprecated in JavaFX 8.0). I need to take issue with his summary that builders are deprecated due to “size restriction to reach the mobility goal” – this is not correct at all. The openjfx-dev post he links to clearly says that they are being deprecated because we (unknowingly) relied on bugs in Java 6 and 7 that were fixed in Java 8, and there is no easy way to retain API compatibility. Secondly, he has announced that JRebirth Application Framework 7.7.1 has been released to fix a regression in 7.7.0.
