JavaFX
- Stephen Chin posted his nighthacking interview with James Gosling from Hawaii. There is talk of how they use JavaFX in their mapping of their aquatic robots.
- Tom Schindl has two posts this week. Firstly, he has posted about how e(fx)clipse will be improved in the next release to take advantage of the fact that recent JDK 8 builds now ship with the JavaFX source files in a javafx-src.zip file. Secondly, he has posted about a talk he will be giving at EclipseCon on how e(fx)clipse allows you to develop applications for embedded and mobile.
- Jarek has announced the release of ScalaFX 1 Milestone 6 and ScalaFX 8 Milestone 2.
- Laurent Nicolas has improved his RadialMenu control based on inspiration he found on Dribbble.
- Tobi has posted his thoughts on what is important for JavaFX on iOS and Android. His conclusion is a good quality JVM.
- Geertjan Wielenga has posted about OrbitFX, which is a JavaFX 8 3D & NetBeans platform based application related to help facilitate and deploy the 2014 launch of National Aeronautics and Space Agency’s (NASA) Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.
- Franck has posted two posts about GraniteDS. Firstly, he has posted the announcement that GraniteDX 3.0.0.RC1 is now out, and secondly he has a post detailing how to port a JavaFX application from GraniteDS 3.0.0.M3 to this new release.
- Michael has posted a video and code related to multitouch support in JavaFX.
- kikutaro777 has posted about SendGridFX, an application written in JavaFX to enable writing rich emails using the Java SendGrid4J library.
