Regarding our use of a Flash player - it&#039;s because we&#039;re embedding the &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.parleys.com/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Parleys&lt;/a&gt; player - the footage is presented by them, presumably at their own expense, and for which we are incredibly greatful. This player is very good and has been developed by the guys behind the Devoxx conference.

And the fact is, just because we&#039;re some of the developers behind JavaFX doesn&#039;t mean we&#039;re part of any holy war against Flash. This video is useful to the JavaFX community, and we&#039;d be doing a disservice to the JavaFX community by not linking to it purely because &#039;the video is in the wrong format&#039;. I&#039;m sure you&#039;d agree to this much.

Regardless, thanks for providing your opinions and thoughts - the JavaFX community is all the better for it, and please do keep sharing anything you have on your chest.
